Diabetes is the culprit in our health problems

More than 150 million people have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the United States. What is the reason for a large amount of people who have the same disease? What they have in common? Primarily, is the American diet, which is the culprit. Some say that diabetes is a reaction to the genealogy, but is actually of type 1 you can blame your relatives on. With type 2 diabetes is blamed on our dietary habits. We are the best fed people in the world and still we stuff our bodies with food that has the same nutrition as cardboard and add a little poison our food with preservatives as well, and too much sugar and fats. It is no wonder that people have a very high blood glucose, which is a sign of diabetes, with the addition of sweet that the American people have.

As we got to this kind of dilemma? We first of all we have been trained by the children to eat nutritious meals not-like the good old TV dinners. All nutrition that were included in these foods has been developed since then. Eat cupcakes and chips as snacks, and we drank fresh-help with sugar and the juice of grapes that had very little in it; not to mention all the drinks we are addicted to. What do you think that make these foods to our bodies?

First of all, the sweets we consume daily turns into insulin, which is a fat storage hormone. Power of this hormone builds up over the years and sugar in our blood takes as much insulin that it overloads. Our blood is high on sugar. The nature of everything we do is that eventually crash and fall. Sugar in our blood over-stimulates insulin and as we continue to eat sweets and carbohydrates, which creates more fat, especially around the central part of our body.

After years of this type of treatment for our blood sugar, become insulin resistant. The organs of our body that process usually sugar in our blood flow can't do it anymore. So insulin becomes the Commander of our body and tells organs what to do. Insulin in itself was not meant to be in command.

How to change our blood sugar and insulin in its place? First of all, you have to get a handle on your diet. There are a lot of books out there that tell you how to eat, with recipes that will be very useful. There are also web sites on the internet that can help you choose your food carefully. Do not let the disease take over your life. People have had amputations of their feet due to illness and died at a younger age than they should have. Go to your doctor and get tested for diabetes, and if you pay close attention to a balanced and nutritious diet.

What is diabetes health?

Who has never known a person who is a diabetic, you probably don't know too much about the condition and might ask "what is diabetes health? Is different from the health of those who do not have diabetes? " The answer to the latter question is Yes, is different because the nature of the condition makes different parts of the body that they react differently to those areas in a non-diabetics.

Diabetes is a condition where the pancreas does not produce enough insulin to lower blood glucose levels (type 1 diabetes) or the body cannot properly use the insulin that is produced (type 2 diabetes), or sometimes both. As a result, glucose levels become abnormally high (hyperglycemia) then damage cells that would otherwise be nutritious glucose. Over time can affect the retina, nerves, blood vessels and kidneys.

Consequently, anyone who is diagnosed with diabetic needs special care takes on some aspects of their health.

• Eyes. Damage to the retina caused by diabetes can cause blindness. A diabetic should see an ophthalmologist at least annually to ensure that no deterioration is occurring (or had already before diagnosis).

• Nerves. Diabetes can cause a loss of sensation in the extremities, especially the feet. A diabetic should never cut their toenails, but should see a qualified specialist in diabetes pedicure approximately every six weeks to have their nails clipped, tough skin removed and nerves evaluated. Any damage to the legs or feet should be treated immediately by a healthcare professional to prevent infection from setting in. Otherwise it might cause the amputation of the foot or leg.

• Kidneys. Damage to the kidneys may lead to kidney failure, then a urine test every three months is essential if a doctor can assess the impact what diabetes or the drug is having.

• The arteries. Diabetes accelerates the formation of plaque in your arteries that may lead to thrombosis, stroke and poor circulation in the arms and legs. Regular blood tests can detect this.

• Blood. High blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides may arise from diabetes that may contribute to cardio-vascular and renal diseases. A blood test at least every three months will allow monitoring of these level. An adjustment for lifestyle or drug usually can quickly sort any problems.

In addition, a diabetic must ensure that they take their medication regularly as prescribed and adapt their eating, drinking and smoking habits to help the drug to do its job.
